The dates for the Diploma exams in the 2013-14 academic year are:
Sunday 1 December 2013 (closing date for receipt of entry forms and fees: 1 November 2013)
Sunday 8 June 2014 (closing date for receipt of entry forms and fees: 1 May 2014)

The closing date for the receipt of fully completed Entry Forms and fees from new and continuing candidates for the next session of the Irish Board Diploma examinations is Wednesday 1 May 2013. Late entries will not be accepted.

Please pay particular attention to the eligibility criteria.
The Diploma exams will take place on Sunday 9 June 2013.
Féis season is truly upon us.
The closing date for entries for Sligo Féis Ceoil is Feb 15th. Competition dates are April 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

Speech and Drama Teachers of Ireland have just launched their Summer School brochure.
The Summer School will take place on Saturday 1 September in the Stillorgan Park Hotel, Co Dublin from 11am – 4.30pm.
Sessions include Dramatherapy with Orla Gildea, Supporting Children with Communication Difficulties with Aoife Byrne, and Business Advice with Michael Johnson of the Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Enterprise Board.
Summer Schools always offer a great opportunity to meet other speech and drama teachers, learn some valuable things and tune up the brain for the forthcoming year.

The Irish Board Diploma sessions in 2012-13 will take place on Sunday 25 November 2012 and Sunday 9 June 2013 in the Stillorgan Park Hotel, Co Dublin.

Just a reminder that the closing date for the receipt of entry forms (and any fees due) for new and continuing candidates for the Irish Board Diploma exams due to take place on Sunday 10 June, is 1 May 2012. Please check the eligibility criteria (see the Downloads section) and please ensure that each form is signed by the candidate and his/her teacher.
Unfortunately it will not be possible to accept any candidates after the closing date.
Hazel Lowry, a speech and drama teacher in Co Wicklow, has a few shows coming up in Bray in early May. She’s looking for maybe a senior student with some stage management experience (and references) to be the stage manager for these shows in order to gain some more experience.
